Service Description
For puppies aged 8 - 14 weeks approx with 1st Vaccination minimum. Our pre-puppy school is a 3 week mini-course for those puppies who have received their first vaccination and for owners that are eager to get started with their puppy training before enrolling on our 6 week KC Puppy Training Course. You will also receive a copy of our essential PUPPY MANUAL! The classes are run at our indoor facility in Norton Parish Hall, Wadborough Road, Littleworth, Worcester, WR5 2QB. We offer small class sizes of up to 8 puppies to allow for 1:1 support and plenty of space for everyone to learn. Our ‘Puppy Pre-School’ aims to offer help and advice for all your puppy needs and get you on the path to positive puppy training. We will cover everything you need to get you started from treats to toilet training! The great thing about this course is that you are probably all experiencing the same puppy issues so you will be with owners of puppies of the same age, with the same problems. Our course content is below but we are able to be flexible with the content and focus on the specific needs of individuals within the class. What will we cover: · Toilet training – how to nail toilet training quickly and banish those puppy pads! · What is “normal” puppy behaviour? · Crate training (if appropriate) · Puppy biting – what’s normal? All of our top teething tips and what you can do at home to stop your puppy being a crocodile! · Confidence building through our puppy agility equipment. · Puppy play time – learn what ‘good play’ looks like and how to choose appropriate play mates for your puppy. · Successful socialising “it’s not all about dogs!” · Why do puppies jump up at us and how can we discourage it? · Teaching puppy “sit” to say please · Mental Enrichment - Making mealtimes fun and interactive using puzzle toys and things you have at home · Happy handling – learn how to handle your puppy all over to prepare them for vet visits · How to recognise if your puppy is unwell · We will try allocate time in each session to ask questions and share experiences with other puppy owners. Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATIONS WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE START OF ANY CLASS OR COURSE WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND. TRAINING CLASSES/COURSES You can cancel your place up to 2 weeks before the start of class or course and a full refund will be given. Cancellations up to 1 week until start of class or course will be given 50% refund. Any cancellations made in the 7 days before the start of a class or course will not be refunded. This will only be reviewed in exceptional circumstances. If we have to cancel an entire class or course, you will receive a full refund OR be offered and alternative class or course. If we have to re-arrange a session within a class or course due to weather, staff illness, emergency situation etc, we will offer you an alternative date. WE DO NOT GIVE PRO RATA REFUNDS IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND THE ALTERNATIVE OPTION. Whilst we make every effort to carry out classes on the advertised dates there are occasions when it simply isn't possible. 1:1 SESSIONS Once booked these sessions can be cancelled two weeks before training package commences and receive a full refund. Cancellations 1 week before training session commences receive a 50% refund and no refunds are given for cancellations after this time except in exceptional circumstances and prior written agreement. All 1:1 Dog Training Packages must be completed within a 6-month period except upon prior written agreement. COVID 19 IMPORTANT INFORMATION In the event of the introduction of a national or local lockdown all payments taken for 1:1 training, training classes or behaviour consultations will either become a credit on your file or they will continue in an appropriate online format. No refunds will be given but every option will be explored to ensure learning continues for you and your dog safely and in line with your original training goals. All classes will be honoured but please note that COVID-19 government restrictions may result in a delay.
