The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Bronze Award aims to produce a dog that will walk and behave in a controlled manner on the lead, will stay in one position on command, allow its owner to handle, groom and inspect it, a dog that will walk and behave in a happy natural manner, under control on the lead. The Bronze award aims to provide the handlers with a basic knowledge of understanding and training their canine companion. This course comprises 10 exercises and includes an optional bronze level assessment included free of charge at the end of the course. - Walk in a controlled manner on a loose lead - Controlled walk amongst people and dogs - Owner responsibility and care - Remaining calm while holding a conversation with trainer / examiner. - Stay in one position for 1 minute - Grooming and handling for health checks (done by owner) - Return to handler from 10 paces (recall) - Wait at a door/gate and walk through in a controlled manner. ...and more! ELIGIBILITY FOR BRONZE ASSESSMENT (optional) The Scheme is aimed at all dogs whether Kennel Club registered or not, there is no age limit. For the Bronze Test, dogs are not required to have completed the Puppy Foundation Assessment programme. The classes take place at our TRAINING FIELD in Kempsey. Our What 3 Words location is https://w3w.co/oddly.firebird.also *PLEASE DO NOT GO TO OUR OFFICE ADDRESS!* ADVERSE WEATHER NOTICE All of our adult dog training classes take place outside and this occasionally means a class may be postponed in extreme weather conditions e.g. heavy rain, gales, or high temperatures. Handler and dog safety is our top priority so classes may be postponed in deemed unsafe to run. Any postponed lesson will resume the following week which may mean your course runs past it's original end date. Alternatively we may add time on to remaining sessions where possible if that is more convenient for attendees. We will always do our best to run lessons as scheduled to minimise any disruption to your course dates but sometimes circumstances are out of our control. **PLEASE NOTE IF YOUR DOG IS REACTIVE TOWARDS OTHER DOGS OR SHOWING NERVOUS OR ANXIOUS BEHAVIOUR WHEN HANDLED / GROOMED THIS COURSE MAY NOT BE SUITABLE - PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE BOOKING**

Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATIONS WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE START OF ANY CLASS OR COURSE WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND. TRAINING CLASSES/COURSES You can cancel your place up to 2 weeks before the start of class or course and a full refund will be given. Cancellations up to 1 week until start of class or course will be given 50% refund. Any cancellations made in the 7 days before the start of a class or course will not be refunded. This will only be reviewed in exceptional circumstances. If we have to cancel an entire class or course, you will receive a full refund OR be offered and alternative class or course. If we have to re-arrange a session within a class or course due to weather, staff illness, emergency situation etc, we will offer you an alternative date. WE DO NOT GIVE PRO RATA REFUNDS IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND THE ALTERNATIVE OPTION. Whilst we make every effort to carry out classes on the advertised dates there are occasions when it simply isn't possible. 1:1 SESSIONS Once booked these sessions can be cancelled two weeks before training package commences and receive a full refund. Cancellations 1 week before training session commences receive a 50% refund and no refunds are given for cancellations after this time except in exceptional circumstances and prior written agreement. All 1:1 Dog Training Packages must be completed within a 6-month period except upon prior written agreement. COVID 19 IMPORTANT INFORMATION In the event of the introduction of a national or local lockdown all payments taken for 1:1 training, training classes or behaviour consultations will either become a credit on your file or they will continue in an appropriate online format. No refunds will be given but every option will be explored to ensure learning continues for you and your dog safely and in line with your original training goals. All classes will be honoured but please note that COVID-19 government restrictions may result in a delay.
