CANINE FIRST AID WORKSHOP
CANINE FIRST AID WORKSHOP
SUNDAY 20 JULY 10.00 - 4.00PM
Service Description
This will be a charity fundraiser event for Endangered Rhino Conservation hosted by Worcester Dogs and delivered by Rachel Bean (RVN MCFBA) Rachel is a canine behaviourist who has had over 20 years experience as a qualified veterinary nurse. This practical workshop gives you confidence and knowledge to give your dog first aid, before heading to a vet, if they become injured or have an accident. The proceeds will go directly to supporting a charity very close to our hearts, ERC UK. Many of you helped us raise money for them during the terrible drought they suffered in 2024. Now with the constant threat of poaching, they have 7 new Malinois puppies on the team who need training up to fill the big paws of the older dogs who will soon be retiring. They are a vital part of the conservation work on the reserve and our own Sandra Raw works closely with their team every year to support their anti-poaching training. However, this brings added costs with food bills, medical care and insurance. We are hopeful this fundraiser will significantly contribute to helping with these costs. After the first aid workshop itself there will be a brief talk by Sandra Raw, who is also a charity trustee, on the reserve, it’s dogs and their story. There will also be a bake sale and merchandise available to buy on the day too. More details to follow on the schedule for the day.
